I can not believe the emotions that consumed me as I read Love Everlasting. The hope, the sorrow, the love and the broken heart. Out of all the books I have read, this one hit closest to home. I have a soft spot for “bad boys” reformed, because I married one myself.
Shannon and Sam had me wrapped around their little fingers from the first chapter and I was so anxious to see how everything would “play” out. Watching both of them work through the hurts and fears of the past, learning to lean on God’s strength, and trust in Him. To see them open their hearts to vulnerability and grow in their faith. This is the epitome of true love. Not only between a man and woman, but between our Heavenly Father and His children. Although, the people we love are human, and are still capable of making mistakes, hurting us. God’s love never fails. For HIS love is everlasting.
Will Shannon be able to pick up the pieces of her shattered past? Or will she continue to run from love? Does Sam ever find the everlasting love that his heart craves? Or will he continue to take the “easy” path of the “love them and leave them” player? This book will have you crying and yelling and sighing and fanning (oh those kisses)…Julie writes “Passion with a Purpose” and it couldn’t be more beautiful or real! And for someone who only recently started reading contemporary fiction, I am SOLD!
